Building on the great success of the EOS 60D, Canon’s EOS 70D is an ideal Digital SLR camera for shooting in challenging conditions. The innovative Dual Pixel CMOS AF Technology amazing speed and flexibility for burst or movie shooting while there is a high ISO sensitivity extendable up to 25,600. Wi-Fi Connectivity and Control
The EOS 70D is Wi-Fi equipped and you can use the EOS Remote app to control ISO, exposure, shutter release and focus all from your handheld device such as your smartphone. You can also view your images, and rate or review them online, remotely from the camera.

The superb CMOS imaging sensor has an effective pixel count of 20.2 million. This is paired with the DIGIC 5+ processor to produce truly outstanding image quality.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF Technology
This newly introduced technology is suited to the super-fast needs of Full HD movie recording and even allows for effects such as pull focus and Live View shooting. It uses two independent photodiodes per pixel which can work separately for focusing or together for image capture. 

For still image focusing there are 19 cross-type AF points, spread right across the frame. These are customisable points that can be arranged singly or in defined groups, or over a wide area for less predictable subjects. Modes are selectable via a switch that is conveniently located right next to the shutter release button so you won’t need to take your eyes off the shot.

Full HD Video with Lightning Fast Focusing
The Full HD movie mode (1920 x 1080p) allows for recording at frame rates of 30, 25, 24fps. There are also options of 60 and 50fps at 720p quality – all with a range of compression options. Using Dual Pixel CMOS AF, you can track images in movie mode – or you can even tap the touchscreen to change your focus point. Also with built-in stereo mic and ISO / aperture control to reinforce the EOS 70D’s serious movie making credentials.

Intuitive Design for Creativity at your Fingertips
The 70D includes an Intelligent Viewfinder with electronic overlay to help visualise your settings as you prepare to shoot. It also comes with logically placed controls for the most often-used settings such as ISO, metering, and AF mode. As an alternative there is a large 3.0-inch (7.7cm) Vari-Angle touch-screen LCD monitor that has 1040k-dot resolution for the best possible representation of your images. As it is a gesture-based touchscreen it is ideal for pinch zooming, menu navigation and leafing through image files.
